About SBI Bank PO exam
The State Bank of India is one of the largest and the oldest public sector bank. It has about 10,000 principal branches and also 5000 branches belonging to the associate banks all over the country. The structure of the SBI examinations
For the posts of Probationary Officers in the state of Tamil Nadu, the bank has ensured the release of the Call Letter and the Descriptive Test. This call letter is specifically for the candidates who had been the part of the Objective Test. This Objective Test had taken place on 27th June for the year 2014. But eligible candidates need to provide optimum details including Registration Number and their respective dates of birth in order to download the call letter. Hence, it is clear that SBI examinations are a two part exam which includes the Objective Test and a Descriptive Test.
The other relevant details about the SBI exam (for the post of P.O)
For the post of P.O in the State Bank of India, the pattern of examinations generally remains the same. Of the two stages of the examinations- the written test and the interviews, the written is something that again comprises of the Objective Test and the Description Test. The interview on the other hand sometimes may be a group activity or sometimes conducted with each candidate personally.
In the Objective type tests, the areas of tests include Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Computer Knowledge and Marketing Aptitude. For the Descriptive type tests, the paper is set to judge the English capacities of the candidate. In order to do so, there are tests on English Composition which includes Letter Writing, Précis Writing, Essay Writing and others.
The selection which takes place after the exams
In accordance with the cut off marks for the exams, candidates are shortlisted who are then called for interviews. The interview call letters can be downloaded when the results of the written examination are declared. The total number of marks for the assessment of interviews is 100. The interviews are set in different locales and the relevant information is passed on to successful candidates through the call letter. The criterion for the forthcoming allotment of jobs is dependent on both the written exams and the interviews. With such an examination procedure candidates for the post of Probation Officers are selected.
