About TNUSRB SI exam

The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Service Recruitment Board is a constituted body to select suitable personnel in various categories for the Police Department, Fire & Rescue Services and Prison Department.

It conducts entrance examinations that pave the way for your recruitment in the above departments. Clearing these examinations opens many avenues for a job aspirant. The syllabus of these examinations varies according to the posts. Who should appear for TNUSRB?

All future Sub-Inspectors of Police (Men & Women), Police Constables (Men & Women), Firemen, Jail Warders (Men & Women) will have to clear the TNUSRB examinations. The Syllabus for General Knowledge portion for both Open and Departmental Candidates includes (1) General Science, (2) History of India, (3) Geography, (4) Economics and Commerce, (5) Indian Polity and (6) Current Events. The Syllabus for Psychology portion for both Open and Departmental Candidates includes (1) Logical Analysis, (2) Numerical Analysis, (3) Communication Skills, (4) Information Handling Ability, (5) Mental Ability Tests. In addition to the above, the Departmental Quota candidates will have question on the police topics, such as, (1) Police Standing Order (PSO), (2) Police Administration and (3) CrPC., IPC., Evidence Act.
